Another birthday trip!
For the last few years I have been celebrating my birthday in a different country every year. Every time there has been one person celebrating it with me wherever it was. This year, Alicia took me to London.
But before we left I got to unpack my birthday present, which was a very nice macro lens for our cameras. It has been very well used during the trip! And a nice addition to the other gear I was bringing!
I had never been in London before, so the whole experience was something new for me. Somehow I had high expectations of the city, it is London after all… We started exploring the area around Westminster, and we did that with 17 kilometers of walking during the first day only.
On Friday we had plenty of sun with almost no clouds. Saturday was a bit more cloudy, but a relatively nice Sunday made up for that! We had some really good food, did some shopping, and looked at most of the monuments in the city. The traffic in London is just insane… Those who have been there know all about it.
Compared to Sweden, the spring has already really started in London!
Alicia and I had a hotel a bit outside of the centre, about thirty minutes by bus. We have enjoyed London a lot and we are already looking forward to our next trip, wherever that may be! London had some cool buildings for some abstract shooting as well.
Anyways, the weekend was great and I have enjoyed the trip a lot. You definitely need three days if you do not want to rush seeing as much as possible. I have also collected quite some gigabytes of video, it will be fun going through all of that and to make a compilation of it. Where should I go next year? This accidental trend of celebrating my birthday somewhere else every year is quite fun to be honest! We will see…
25 years now, but still a kid on the inside..
